Project Manager

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Now you may be wondering what your day-to-day will look like. You will…
• Work with the client’s teams to translate our client needs into our flagship product
which will help the client stand out in the insurance industry.
• Manage and coordinate project activities and apply appropriate methodology and
governance to ensure deliverables are met on time and within the budget allocated
• Manage project change management activities, including preparing training materials
and conducting user training
• Manage multi-discipline project teams (e.g., engineers, designers, analysts, etc.)
across multiple geographies to ensure timely delivery against timelines.
• Track budget to actuals for projects
• Identify and document all the required activities to deliver and build the plan
accordingly.
• Carefully manage the plan as well as the risks and issues and translate the plan into
tangible timelines and milestones; develop and track mitigation options when required.
• Analyse business and technology processes to design and deliver innovative solutions.
• Drive proposals by identifying the work scope and building the pricing models to
support commercial propositions
• Implement the critical pathway for multiple project completions.
• Define the delivery process with a deep understanding of large, Enterprise level IT
Programmes of work.
• Identify and monitor the key external dependencies that could affect the delivery.

• Act as a first escalation point: able to remove any blocker preventing the delivery; able
to escalate in a timely way to senior management when require

• Report regularly to management and key internal and client stakeholders (including C-
Level) the project progress and status as well as potential issues / decisions needed

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• University graduate with at least 7-8 years of solid experience, exposure to key
positions in Business Process Management, Change Management, Technology
and/or Management Consulting; with at least 5 years in a Project Management role
or equivalent capacity
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate business
opportunities and customer problems in English and Japanese.
• Proven track record in delivery of large projects in a sizable organization
experience implementing Insurance.
• Administration Systems highly desirable
• Project management certification (PMP, SCRUM, PRINCE, etc.) with a focus on
Agile methodology preferred
• Expertise in software development methodologies (SDLC, Waterfall, Agile),
including being seasoned in Jira and confluence, is desirable.
• Results oriented, able to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong sense of ownership for the project and demonstrate commitment to driving
project objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to work with different cultures, and with proven negotiation
and leadership skills; strong coordination skills and capability to drive the
contributors and stakeholders who have different priorities; ability to influence and
facilitate executive-level decisions
• Ability to identify project risks and recommend mitigation actions.
• Pro-active and forward thinker: able to anticipate and act accordingly.
• Able to be comfortable at the deepest level of details and to be able to articulate a
clear summary to senior stakeholders when required (covering both technical and
business aspects)
• Thinks critically about project delivery and challenges the status quo to identify
opportunities to enhance processes and services
• Demonstrate strong moral principles to do what is right for the customers,
employees, and partners; have the courage to speak the mind and not be afraid to
push boundaries
